Myrtillocactus geometrizans f. cristata — “Boobie Cactus”
The Boobie Cactus—botanically known as Myrtillocactus geometrizans f. cristata ‘Fukurokuryuzinboku’—is a rare and quirky collector’s cactus, beloved for its distinctively crested, ribbed form that resembles rounded shapes or “boobies.” Its smooth blue-green skin and sculptural curves give it a playful yet elegant appearance, making it one of the most talked-about statement plants in any collection.
This variety thrives in bright, direct light to full sun and prefers warm, dry conditions. It should be planted in a well-draining cactus or succulent mix, and watered sparingly—allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Over time, the Boobie Cactus can develop into a stunning, wavy crest that’s both whimsical and architectural.
