San Pedro Crested Variegated Cactus

San Pedro ‘Crested Variegated’ Cactus is a rare and highly collectible sculptural cactus, admired for its unusual crested growth combined with striking green, creamy white, yellow, and golden variegation. Instead of forming the traditional upright column, the growing point develops into twisting, wavy fans and ridges, creating an incredible coral-like appearance. Each specimen develops its own unique crest and variegation pattern, making every plant a one-of-a-kind living sculpture.

This cactus thrives in very bright light to partial direct sun, with gradual acclimation to stronger sunlight to prevent scorching—especially on the lighter variegated areas. It prefers a gritty, extremely well-draining cactus mix and infrequent watering, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Reduce watering considerably during cooler months when growth slows.

• Light: Very bright light to direct sun; gradually acclimate to stronger sunlight
• Water: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings; avoid overwatering
• Growth Habit: Slow-growing, crested cactus with twisting, fan-shaped variegated growth
• Pet Note: Keep away from pets and children; spines can cause injury and ingestion should be avoided

With its dramatic crested form, beautiful variegation, and one-of-a-kind growth pattern, San Pedro ‘Crested Variegated’ Cactus is a collector’s showpiece—perfect for adding rare color, architectural texture, and living-sculpture appeal to any cactus or succulent collection.
