Syngonium chiapense ‘Albo’ is a rare and elegant variegated aroid, admired for its large, glossy arrow-shaped leaves splashed with crisp white variegation against rich green foliage. The thick, leathery leaves have a smooth, almost satin-like finish, while the bold albo marbling creates striking contrast and a clean, modern tropical look. Each leaf develops its own unique pattern, making every plant a true collector’s piece.
This variety thrives in bright, indirect light, which helps maintain its white variegation and encourages strong growth. It prefers a chunky, well-draining aroid mix and moderate watering—allowing the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry slightly between waterings. As it matures, chiapense ‘Albo’ can be grown as a climbing plant for larger foliage or kept compact with regular pruning.
- Light: Bright, indirect light (essential to preserve white variegation)
- Water: Keep soil lightly moist; allow the top 1–2 inches to dry slightly between waterings
- Growth Habit: Climbing or upright Syngonium with thick variegated foliage
- Pet Note: Toxic if ingested by pets or children
With its bold white marbling and sleek glossy leaves, Syngonium chiapense ‘Albo’ is a collector’s favorite—perfect for adding elegance, contrast, and rare tropical beauty to any indoor plant collection.
